Hello everyone, quick story for you. So my father had a 64 Datsun L320 pickup. He has pasted away and I inherited the truck. It has 60 horsepower 4 cylinder engine, 4 speed transmission on the column, new seat, toolbox, custom rear bumper, stock radio, custom door panels, runs and drives great. I would guess about 70% restored, just needs a little brake work and paint job. Just in primer now. This truck has huge amount of sentimental value to me, but I had to realize that im not capable of finishing it myself or can afford to have it restored by someone else. So I have decided to sell, but im not sure on value and having difficulties selling. I have on 2 websites for sale but have only been contacted by scammers. So I figured I need to find a place like NICOclub.com to have better luck. I did a bit of research, so I believe value is somewhere between $5,000 and $15,000. Im sure you know more about it then me, so any information helps and is appreciated. Im located in southern Oregon coast and need the truck to find a new owner that can finish and appreciate it like it deserves. Thank you NICOclub for accepting me into your club.

So I guess this is locked? Might as well just delete post entirely. I was only asking for information of what my truck may be worth. Thanks :|

Your title said it was for sale. If you were only looking for an appraisal, the title should have stated that. This listing is obviously not locked, just the announcement notice in the other forum.

Ok my apologies. I would change title but thats not an option. I just titled it that, because thats conclusion I came to since realizing truck needs more then I can offer. So appraisal then would be appreciated.

Welcome aboard!

I have a 63 NL320, and I run the 320 Registry, so I have a little knowledge on these.

She's a super-cool truck. Without seeing the undercarriage, it's hard to come up with a definitive number. The L isn't as sought-after as the NL, but they're getting harder to find. The real issue with these is restorability, as new parts aren't available, and things like rubber and wear items are near impossible to get.

I sold a super-clean one (identical to your Dad's) last year for $5500, so I'd say you're going to be at the low end of that range... Again, it's not a knock on the truck, it's just a HUGE undertaking to properly maintain and restore one.

Glad you're here - Keep us posted on the progress, and I'll share this link with some folks who may be looking.

I understand and agree. Thats big part of why I can't keep it. Plus I'm not a professional restorer. As far as I know there is no rust and I need to do a little wiring. Because brakes have gone out a few times, the junction on the firewall where the brake lines and those 2 wires are got hot. So my guess is the 2 wires that go to the tail lights shorted out on the frame somewhere, which would explain why wires got hot and brake lights stuck on. But as far as "undercarriage" what is concern? Rust, bent frame, damage? I may end up keeping it if its value isn't very high, because it has alot of sentimental value to me. But at same time, I much rather have more room in garage and have something I can actually get parts for. Thanks

Corrosion is always the primary concern - if it's clean underneath, grab some pics to put potential buyers at ease, and list away!

I'm not sure it's BaT material, but ebay and Facebook are a great place to list these.
