okay, i have a 1990 240sx with a blacktop sr20det swapped in. it was done early last month, it runs good, very dependable, feels very fast.

only thing i really notice is my idle kinda stays up while moving. but once i get to say a stop light, i hear the idle go down. kinda seems like when i get to a stop, the idle is a little to low, like the car wants to die out.

but another thing i noticed is my o2 sensor is a 'skinny' type. so i looked and found out, i think i have a automatic transmission ecu. the sticker on my ECU has rubbed off a little, what info i do have is A11-000 G91. someone also hand wrote on it with sharpee "for 90 to 98 SR20DET". i searched around here and matched up these number to possilbly a 63 SR ECU for a automatic transmission.

now my question is if i get a 62 ECU or a E5 ECU, could i just plug and play it to my harness? read somewhere changing to a manuel transmission ecu can fix my weird idle problem. also if i get an E5 ECU, i can switch to a 95 300ZX TURBO O2 Sensor, right? thanks.

Getting a 62 should fix your high idle problem.

I remember reading about a wire you could cut that would fix the high idle when running an auto ecu on a 5spd. Im not sure, was it blue and white? is that the iiac valve?

Should be the light blue wire on the 4 pin plug that goes to the IACV area. You can just unplug the whole connector if you want.
