hello everyone, i was just wanted some people's thoughts on justifying paying $600 for some tension rods. i talked to the guy who makes them and it seems the only reason he used titanium was to save weight :rolleyes . i tried to explain to him how hard it would be to move his product when his competitors : battle version, kazama, jic, tein, etc have their respective parts for roughly 1/3 the price.

his other reason is that he can do custom work, like custom engraving, "extreme" positive/negative caster because he feels that adjustables do allow enough room. i can engrave my rods for free....its called an engraving/etching tool. is there THAT much of a difference in an autocross/drifting application when using titanium?

there is no reason...kinda like spending $300 for a strut bar. go on ebay and get some.

You'd only save a few OUNCES going with Ti over steel in such a small part. It doesn't even all contribute to unsprung weight due to the geometry of the tension rod.
