i searched for this topic quite a bit, and couldnt find much.

I wanna put a 6 speed in my 240. I have a red top s13 sr20det, and i heard that most of the transmission's are the same except for the bell housing. Can anyone tell me what transmission to buy(like what car), and put in there?

The only transmission that will not be completely different from the stock transmission for your motor will be the 6-speed from the s15. Why do you want a 6-speed anyways? It will not help with acceleration a great deal, only top speed and fuel economy.

To be honost, because nobody has it. I like to be different. Here in rocklin, nobody i know has even an sr20det, let alone one with a 6 speed. And the fuel economy benefit is a big one for me as i work like 25 miles from home...and gas rapes me...premium...

The driveshafts are different, and the speed sensor is located in the diff. Also the flywheel is different, as well as the starter. It's just not a very economical idea.
