Hey guys, i'm the new owner of a 2009 AC 2.5 with a 6 speed transmission and I noticed that when I accelerate the shifter moves (can't really notice it when just looking) but you can feel it if you leave your hand on. My 3 previous cars (2 hondas and a VW) never did anything of the sort. I was just wondering if it was normal or do I need to bring it to the dealership and get it checked out.

Thanks.

It's normal. your transmission vibrates so would everything connected to it. ahem.. since you have the manny... get the racingline short throw shifter and a weighted shift knob lol... its a world of a difference.

for someone that has no experience, it could be a little difficult. taking out the intake and accessing it is easy. but popping off the link for the shifter could be a PIA if you dont have the right tools, and you have to be careful because you can damage the link cable. then there is a clip you have to remove and that was a bi*tch for me. by no means is it really easy but it's by far the best mod for your money, include a heavy shift knob and its a world of a difference and you enjoy it every time you shift. if anyone is hesitant on doing it and live near NYC I will be happy to help!!! took me about 45min because i was careful. barter trades are welcome lol -_^!

Have fun popping off that SOB.... :couch

But at the end of the day, it will be so worth it. Make sure to get a heavy shift knob too, check out WC Lathe Werks. (I think that was the name)

Good luck! :bigthumb:

How much would you charge for a modification like that? And do you have a rough guess for total cost between purchasing the part along with you installing it?
I live upstate so there's a good chance I may take you up on an offer like this.

right now I go to college near syracuse, since ur upstate we can do this sometime soon hopefully before finals. I'm not asking for money. U'r a NICO member and I'll be happy to help. it'll take anywhere between 30min to a hr to do it. if your close to there throw me some gas money and i'll do it at your house or whatever. if you want to give me some cash it'd be appreciated as I'm broke. or a barter trade thats fair. anyway, PM me and we can talk.
