There is a guy in Corvallis, Oregon with a 6-speed behind an SR20(yuk!) that might be able to give you some insight. His name is Mike Spreadbury. Check out the dime quarterly website and look at past articles about how to put a VG30ET in a 510. I think the article may give you info on how to get ahold of him. Or you could call information, area code 541.

i asked around alot of shops about putting a 6-speed from a s15 up to a ka24, but everyone said it wouldnt fit up right. but i remember reading something somewhere about someone putting a vg30 transmission up to a ka24, they had to do a little custom work, also i heard of putting a transmission from a 2.8 (cant remember the code for it) from a 280z. so didnt they make a vg30 transmission that was 6-speed?

I am just curious why you would want a 6-spd transmission over the 5-spd that is stock. The stock trannies comftorably hold 400+rwhp if I am not mistaken and the integrity of the S15 6-spds is questionable.

the 6 speed transmission has been proven to hold at 450hp. the only fault the 6 speed transmission has is it's driver. serious drifters and drag racers aren't used to the close gears so they end up trashing the transmission. so they swap for the 5 speed.

I was under the impression that the new 6 speed gearboxes over here weren't so dependable. I also thought that by going with 6 gears you had to compromise with the other 5 to make room for #6. But this is abit out of my expertise. I'm just stating what I've heard from some of the locals.

the blitz spec R uses a stock 6 speed transmission. it pushes close to 450hp.

hks and signal auto both use a 6 speed on their spec Rs also, but i'm not sure if they're stock.
