6 Speed MT Won't Go Into Reverse
Has anyone had problems with their 6 speed no shifting into reverse? Left it with he dealer for 2 days and they say it did not do it. One day later, it did it again. I had tried going from first directly to reverse, double clutching in neutral and going into reverse, driving a little forward and shifting into reverse and sometimes none of it works. It seems not to be synchronizing.

I have a 6 speed xterra '06, and I have to push down on shifter while shifting into R. I bought it used without owners manual. Took a few times until I figured it out. Not sure if g35 is the same, but try it.

Have you had the transmission worked on? how many miles?

Problem solved. Linkage adjustment.

hey DreTom how were you able to adjust the linkage cable? im having the same issue right now, the pin fell out somehow while driving and when i got it home to i tired using a bolt back through the hole and all gears are working but my reverse!!! very annoying
