I recently installed an act six puck clutch in my 92 240sx hatch. The drivetrain (diff, axle, transmission, driveshaft) are otherwise stock. Some of my friends are telling me that the clutch will engage too hard and could potentially damage my drivetrain. Is this a valid concern?

not at all! ive have the act 6 puck for quite sometiem now on a stock ka24de block. the stock r200 differential can handle up to 600 to the wheels i believe. what they PROBABLY mean, is that it might be more difficult as a daily driver until you get used to feathering the clutch. when my brother and i first had ours....it was hell. but we got used to it pretty quick. so go yell at your friends or something, they are bsing you.

I'm not an expert but I don't think your making efough power. From how I drive my car(2nd gear clutch dump at 40mph) I would not think so but thats IMO

Your friends probably drive hondas and are used to drivetrains being made of weaksauce. You drive a Nissan. You don't have to worry about that crap.

yeah, i told them nissans were built better than the ricer pieces of poo they're used to. i kinda figured it wouldnt be a problem.

Unsprung clutches can do some damage. Make shure it is a sprung 6 puck.

I don't know where you got that idea. Their ricer pieces of poo were built better than any Nissan probably ever was. Nissan just chose parts for the drivetrain which withstand many times more torque than the engine would ever make. Why they did it is beyond me, but I'm very glad that they did.

to settle thsi once and for all, learn to feather, DUMPING the clutch everytiem is not required, it would cause damage in any situation. advice here: learn to drive with any clutch given. wheathe rit be featherign an unspring, or dumping an oem clutch. power applicatiosn dotn matter as much as driver style
