Worth it? I think I can scrape together the money for it, but I'd rather not if it's unnecessary.

how many miles do you have on your car? I just passed 12,000 with no problems just doing oil changes and tires. only problem ive had so far is the crappy suspension went over a pothole and bent my front driver lower control arm and now its causing my sway bar endlink to rub on the driveshaft

Tune up? Like what? Modern cars no longer have periodical tune ups.

I took mine to the dealer regularly through the 11,250 mile checkup, but they never seemed to make me feel welcomed or comfortable. At the 15,000 mile checkup they didn't have the in-cabin air filter in stock and tried to convince me I didn't need to worry about it. I ordered one myself and had my previous freelance mechanic do the 15,000 mile service, and the filter he took out was quite dirty. (Plus, the total cost was about $50-60 less than the dealer cost.) So, I'll stick with what Nissan recommends, but I'm afraid they're only going to do warranty work from now on. (Now at 19,000 miles in 6 months, 1 week.)

the owners manual has all the information you need. You just have ot decide which maintenance level to use. Unless you driive a lot of stop and go traffic in the city, the longer maintenance intervla is fine.

I've always had this luxury with Subarus... there are some great independent mechanics in my area. I also have found a great generalist, so I wouldn't be going back to my dealer for anything but warranty work anyway.

Well, I've had it since September and I've put about 8500 miles on it so far, with regular oil changes.

Dealer mailed me a letter AND I got a call from NissanUSA asking me to take it to get it's maint
