Hey all i have searched and have not found anything that says hey if you have a 5 bolt open diff and a 6 bolt lsd you need this to make it work... I am not sure what lsd i have off what car. it has 6 bolts on the pumkin and 5 bolts on the output shafts. So my question is i have a 90 240sx 5 bolt open diff. What do i have to do to make the new lsd work?

Is it a Nissan LSD? My LSD has 4 bolts where you attach the drive shaft and 6 bolts hold each of the axle's on. the axle's that you use--- need to match up in length, the splines have to match up on the hub and the drive shaft has to also have a corresponding bolt pattern.. there are the 5 bolt (where the axle's attach) but you of course have to have the axle's to go with them. Not a 100% sure of what your asking?

buy new half shafts from the dealer or someone on here

half shafts go where you'd mount the diff up in the rear, if you didn't already know that

get your standard 6 bolt axles if it's got 6 bolt output shafts, or if you want to keep your 5 bolt axles, get 5 bolt output shafts. Just because you're told "oh noes, it's a totally jdm part from a silvia man!" don't mean the parts sold by the same assembly line are gonna be totally different.

I had a moment of clarity it really does not matter if they are 5 bolt or 6 bolt flange because you can just take the entire shaft out of the lsd and swap them with whatever because pretty much all nissan lsds are r200. so they should all work if you want to make them work that is.
