I have an S13. I say on ebay that they sell speaker templates for the doors for 6.5 speakers. I heard that they also have templates for 6x9 in the doors aswell... but I yet to find any? Also, does anyone know if there are templates availible for the S13 rear deck like they are for the doors? And if so what sizes? Finally, I hear that a 6.5 speaker will have better sound quality than a 6x9.... why is this true and since it is true, what are some awesome 6.5 speakers that you would suggest I purchase for my doors? Thanks!

Round speakers will always sound better! 6x9s are ok for rear fill, but for your front soundstage, go with a good component setup. If your budget allows it, go with pair of Focal's K2 power set.

hey bro,

honestly, if i was to do a system, i would probably go with memphis power reference all around. they actually have the oversized 6.5's (that i know will at least fit the 97-98's). There's a shop around me I'd probably get them at and they've always said that they have a LIFETIME warranty (on only one line of power reference). The thing is, (as i was just reading on their site) you should probably get them from a dealer instead of online. (i have no idea how they'd be able to tell but whatev)

they sound really amazing especially with an amp behind em and are relatively cheap. Or you can go spend a thousand on show quality ones...

I went kinda crazy on my last car and spend about $1500 and it was NOT worth it. I would stick to Memphis Power Reference speakers with a decent amp, a nice head unit (I have really yet to find- which in the 21st century is bull****), and a 10" sub with amp. It's all you really need for high quality that won't deafen you for life and empty your bank accounts.
