I know I'm going to get flamed for this post, but I did a search and couldn't find any good pics of these wheels on a s13. I'm wanting to see what the 17x7+35 and 17x8+35 look like. I'm trying to decide between these two. I don't want the wheels TOO sunken in, but I don't have any interest in rolling fenders either.

Ewww... those are terrible sizes. I'm assuming your still fourlug, so I recommend running the 17x9+20 all around. IMO, this is the PERFECT wheel size for beginners.

Tire size can vary depending on how much work you want to put on. You sound like you're new to wheel/tire fitment, so I'd say use 235/40/17 all around.

I'm at work now or else I'd post some pics. Sorry. Let me know if you got more questions.

Edit: Ha! I found a pic for you that my work servers didn't block! It was super easy to find... just googled 'FN01RC S13'. This is the 17x9+20 with 235/40 all around.

Doesn't get any better than that, my friend! It's a great combo. You can even fit 255/40/17 tires on those wheels depending on how long you are and how much fender work you wanna do...

But I have to be honest... if I was gonna spend $200+ each on a 17x9+20 wheel, I'd probably pick some OG Axis Banzai's. I've only ever seen 1 240 with those wheels EVER! The lip would be nice. :yesnod

That's a really good picture showing what the 17x9+20 look like on a s13. But to be honest, that's really sticking out from the fender further than I want. I'm not really trying to stuff the absolute widest wheel possible under my fenders. Just want a decent wheel that doesn't look retarded. If I do my math right than the 17x8+35 should be sticking out 1.2" and in 0.8" more than the stock 15x6. I guess what I really want to know is if there will be any fitment problems with that size. Btw, you are correct in your assumption of me still being stuck with the 4x113.4 lug pattern.

Dude. Don't be afraid, 17x9 +20 is square for the s-chassis. The ones that poke are most likely the 17x10s.

17x9 +20 all around
245/45 front
255/40 rear

17x8 +35 is a tight fit up front and way less than square in the rear without a big tire, which would most likely look silly, b/c the wheel is only 8" wide. With 17x9 +20 all around, you wouldn't have to stagger, which will save you money on tires, and rotating them. Fender rolling is nothing to me afraid of either. It's not hard at all. Trust me, go with 17x9 +20. And if you really don't like them, I'll be more than glad to by them from you. :)

Is that your car panda? And if so did you have to roll your fenders. It still looks like they are sticking out beyond the fender to me. That's not what I want. Geez, I wish they just made this wheel in a 17x8+20 or something.

Though the 17x9+20 really are ideal, IMO... the 17x8+35 will fit just fine, coilovers or not.
I mean, yeah, they'll be sunken, but they will fit. :inoutgay:

Nah, that's not my car. Found it on the other forum. It is something I'm shooting for this summer though. Just rolled fenders on that car too. It pokes up from because of the tire size (45 series too). Despite the poke, they don't rub because of the natural camber curve of the macpherson struts. Question, What kind of tires are you looking to fit? Knowing that, you can find a wheel size you can enjoy. For the record,That black hatch Simmode posted earlier has the 8" +35 up front and the 9" +20

Oh yeah! I forgot to mention that! Both those black hatches are the same car, I believe. But the one at the top is after the owner upgraded his fronts from 17x8+35 to 17x9+20. Before and after pics...

I'm looking to run a 225/45R17 tire. I'm thinking I'll go with that tire size on the 17x8+35. If I don't like it then you can all say "I told you so..." lol. I don't think this combination will give me any trouble. Just for the heck of it, I went back to see what size Coleman used on the SCC 240sx project car because I remember it was kind of a weird size too. He used a 225/47R17 tire with 17x7.5+43 wheel and a 5mm spacer up front. It would still be nice if I could find some really good pics showing the 17x8 on a S13. Guess I'll just keep googling...

225/45 shouldn't look too bad on an 8". Get 'em and post pics for all of us :)

OP, I don't know if you already found this pic or not... but here's more shots of the same black hatch from above with the 17x8+35's up front and 17x9+20 rear's.

To be honest, these pics are pretty easy to find. 240's with bland fitment are everywhere.

My bad homie, they were all over Zilvia and Google images! I'll edit them out if you want. But if it's any consolation, I absolutely looooove your 17x9+20 all around look and I'm really considering it for myself. It take less work to fit than what I was previously considering: 17x9.5+12 P45R/Grids and your setup could accomodate 255/40/17 if desired, without widebody. Thats so hot.
