I accidentally used 5w-30 synthetic in my rogue when it calls for 0w-20 synthetic in the manual. Should i drain it?

Thanks,

John

The owners manual also states that if 0W-20 isn't available, you can use 5W-30. So, you should still keep it as it won't hurt the engine at all.

No, use it for this oci.

Mine is spec for 5w-30, but I used 5w-20 and 0w-30 for a single oci in the past no problem.

I always used synthetic.

You most likely get less fuel efficiency but more wear protection with the -30.

The 0w would benefit in the cold, but we have 100 degree weather in some parts, so I wouldn’t be worried with that aspect either.

But if your really ocd with your oci, do what makes you sleep better at night. :dance

I wouldn't dump it, just don't do it again.
