5th gear

my shift into 5th gear is significantly harder than the others and also a lot louder while driving in 5th esp when im on the accelerator. anyone else have this?

sounds like you have a syncronixer going out. but it wouldnt hurt to check your transmission fluid level

Does it grind at all when going into 5th?

it doesnt grind it is just hard to push it into 5th.. it makes a grumbling noise when i accelerate hard in 5th though

does the shifter have much free play in it? could this just be a shifter bushing issue?

your 5th gears are at the end of your transmission so if your low on fluid, it'll be noticed in 5th gear first. normally. You'll also get that whining noise while driving.I'd check the fluid first.
