According to many sources, eliminating the speed cut is as simple as cutting the speed sensor wire and unplugging the 4th and 5th gear transmission sensors. The latter because there is also a 5500 RPM rev limiter in those gears. Back when I had my KA, I cut the speed sensor wire, only to encounter this 5500 RPM rev limiter. Even sitting at a dead stop, if I put the transmission in 5th and revved it up, the revs would cut at 5500. Now, while in SR land, I've been pondering the same thing. Difference, when I put the transmission in 5th at a dead stop, there is no rev limit at 5500 RPM. It revs right up to 7000 + like its supposed to. Does this mean that All I need to do is cut the speed signal at the ECU and call it good, or am I in for a surprise this time too? Thanks guys.

i had my car WAY past 180km today (needle was down by the odometer thing) and still had a good chunk of 5th to go when i shifted into (this was blowing the doors off a brand new copper 350z while i was carrying like 5 barrels of C16 in my car lol) guy never knew what pull 89372984 bus lengths on him lol...but ne ways yah i went way past the speedos 180kmh...i really wanna know where the speed sensor kicks in
My Ka turbo was 118mph and it sucked.Imagine having a car that will do 150mph and be stuck at 120mph.A JWT ECU fixed that, and made things safe!Now, my SR topped out somewhere around the 130's.I was racing a bike and the speedo was barried awhile before it hit!I guess i'm going to have to snip that wire too, b\c the stage 2 upgrade is a long time off!

hey drift s14...this is kinda off topic but how much rwhp u running? I dunno if im just not educated, but it seems like ur acceleration is kinda slow. The reason i say this is because my friend's wrx (intake and bov) goes 5-60 way quicker than your car (or maybe im imagining things). Does your car pull harder than i'm describing and am i BSing myself?
I did baby it off the line, but other than that I tried my best. When I launch it hard, the g-tech says I do it in 5.3 sec. I have never dynoed my car, I have no idea how much hp I'm running. I'm still running stock injectors, so I only run 9 PSI. It feels faster now than with the T25 at 14 psi, but with the T25 I beat 2 different STi's. But I can see what your talking about. It doesn't seem that fast at all.

That's what my KA S14 had done. It doesn't do it now, but as you can see by the vid, 118 is still my max.
