5th gear limit

ok i think theres something wrong with my rev limiter in 5th because when i'm rolling in 1st through 4th it runs fine only when i'm in 5th will it act like the top speed limiter is kicking through all rpm ranges anyone else have this happen or know anything? I give up i still don't know what it is

There is a sensor on the transmission. It is between the speed sensor and the reverse lights I think, disconnect that and see what happens.
