5spd Swap Parts Question

If i buy an aftermarket shortshifter, do I still need to buy all of the lower shift boot and bracket parts, or are those replaced with the short shifter parts? It seems like the short shifters come with something to replace those. thanx

My experience is only with the BM short shifter. Basically remove 6 bolts insert the bm (reuse gasket if good or apply rtv sealant)6bolts back in.On top of that u install the rubber boot with retaining ring. then install shift boot.(rubber boot , retaining ring,shift boot not included with short shifter)
