this is for a s13

ok got it all finshed and together it runs and drives...

but....the clutch peddle is weird, (new master and slave cylindewr, ss clutch line eliminating damper)..ok so the clutch peddle is really weak, takies no efforty to push it in.. the car wont move untill the clutch is all the way out basically..and when i go to take off the car lke jerks or hops or studders or whatever...

any suggestions.. ive tried adjusting to peddle, i adjusted it so it was ~7.25 inches away from the floor, and adjusted the mastercyl untill the pin that the cotter pin attaches to spinned freely, but nothing has helped.. any suggestion???

New clutch? If so, the jerking is normal - it takes a while to break in. If it's not new, I would replace it, sounds like some bad chatter.

Not sure about the pedal release, that is, if you've already tried adjusting the bolt and nut in there...

something is not right in the bell housing area. if you pedal returns all the way to the top when you release it you dont have any air in the hydrolic side, if you clevis pin [ the rod through the fork on yur clutch pedal] spins freely and the clevis [ the fork] has no pressure on it from the front or back [ moves feely] you have a properly adjusted clutch pedal. This leave the fork, T/O bearing carrier, pressure plate, and clutch disc. If you fork is not properly hooked in the T/O bearing carrier it will cause this. If you pressure plate is not fully torqued down it will cause this. If your clutch disc were in backwards you would have to early engagment. So you need to get the trans back out and take a look at the fork set up and pressure plate bolts.

i hope i dont got to take it back out.. i made sure the clutch fork snap back onto the pivot and that the throw out assembly was clip on..the pressure plate is torque to around 30ftlbs...the clutch disc is installed the right direction....

hey, its a long shot but about 3 months ago i had the same problem.come to find out, my presure plate was screwed up from the factory.i bought the clutch kit from oriely`s and had it installed. it did the same exact thing... when i pulled it out, you could push the prongs on the presure plate all the way to the table with your index finger. i took it back and got my money back and i also made them give me the money for the install, because i had to pay the mechanic agin to take it out and put the new one in agin. so they covered me all the way for the install.
