So I bought this drive shaft a few months ago from someone on nico here. I'm not sure of the name at the moment. But I guess some parts weren't included

My question is "I am missing parts off of that drive shaft, aren't I?"

Will anyone sell me these parts? Or am I better off just looking for a whole nother drive shaft? It's supposed to be non abs as well.

I just took a closer look at it because i'm ready to do my 5spd swap now since I sourced all the parts, and now I guess I have to find something else?

Pics:thanks

your missing the front part that goes into the transmission.

just sell that to a junk yard and source another..that's what id do.

that looks a lil long tho.. for a 5speed.. but might just be me

Im not sure but maybe that is for an auto 240. On my 5speed the part that goes into the transmission is a lot longer.

im using it nowand the only place i can find it is at autozone stores.

i have older friends that swear by it in there hondas/nissans/ toyotas ..etc..i havent had a problem out of it.

an alternative is GMs syncromesh gear oil that can be bought at GM dealers

are you saying you're using syncromesh now? or are you using redline?

i dont see how they can make too much of a difference but if i can find the syncromesh fluid i'll most likely go with that b/c i've read on here and other sites that it's pretty good stuff.

just get a one piece and call it a day. with another stock drive shaft, you still have to worry about the center bearing being good or not. you don't want to buy a driveshaft with a bad center bearing. you'll mess up the U joints in the long run.

good luck finding one, i'll keep my eyes open. I'd sell you one of my driveshafts, but one is for an auto and the 5spd one i'll be using. as far as fluid goes, i use royal purple for everything.

keegan, nice sig

If yours is auto now drop it to see if its the same length, but it looks like your missing the front U joint and spline. If you are you can get those easily. Plus you should replace the U joints anyhow.

just picked this up, I hope it doesn't screw me over in the long run. it was sitting right next to some royal purple 75 90 fluid but it was $15.99 per quart. I was really tempted to go with the royal purple though..

did i make a bad choice?

im not running it for no reasoni took word from relics in the business

a friend runs it in ALL his transmissionsran it in all of his hachis( corollas) and beat the crap out of themHe and a few other guys i know swear by it. so i went that route.

if you dont like it order some Redline Syncromesh fluidcant go wrong with that stuff either.

ive been running it for about a month with no problemsi HATED the Motul i had in there before.

yeah i've been reading a lot too. i've read that its pretty good stuff and is just as good as redline. so i figure why not. i think royal purple is overrated though.

it's worth a shot. $20.47 after tax couldn't really beat that either.

Its a dealer or parts place part and you need to take out the clip and press them out with a press. They are 29.99 at Autozone, cheaper other places I'm sure.

I looked at some other pics, I don't know if the length is right without measuring them, but your missing the input spline. My guess is the guy you got it from unbolted to because he didn't know it just slid off the transmission spline. Probably had never taken one out before. Below is a normal S13 speed driveshaft.
