5spd-Automatic Differences????

Hey,I was just wondering if anybody knew the difference or if there is a difference between the 5 speed and automatic wiring harnesses for the SR20DET???? I'm buying a SR20DET w/everything that has a automatic transmission, but the place I am getting it from is going to pull off a 5 speed transmission and flywheel (no clutch) from another SR20DET and attach it to the one I'm getting. My car, 1998 S14, is a manual. So I do have the clutch master cylinder and so forth. Does anyone know of any problems with swapping the trannies and differences in wiring for the two?????

Well on the redtop there is just some minor extra wiring differences. Nothing major and most parts of the harness that have to do with the auto arent used. The Auto TPS for instance has 6 wires instead of 3 on a manual. Though if you decide to use a manual TPS then all you do is cut two and connect two more together to get the three you need. Other things like some sensors on the transmission arent used. Theres also some temp sensor on my lower radiator hose that the SR's dont have. All in all I have about 8 connectors with nowhere to go but I attribute a few of them to AC and PS.

Question, the bellhousings are different, I'd imagine they're swapping that for you as well?

Yeah,They are swapping everything except for the clutch, which I was planning on upgrading anyways. I am planning on sending the wiring harnesses to Heavythrottle to have them do the wiring service. I will give them a call to see what they have to say about the wiring part. In regards to the transmission, it would be basically okay if I were to swap the auto for the 5spd and not have any problems???

I just called Heavythrottle and they said it that the wiring harness and ecu should be interchangable, as they are on the s13 det, but they are unsure as this motor set is a S14, if I forgot to mention. But then again.......???Anybody have any thoughts on this?????
