5sp transmission is being weird!!! Ideas please!!!

Hello I have a 91 S13 and my 5sp transmission is being weird. Like sometimes when I try to shift(speed up) it shifts smooth. But sometimes it doesnt shift smooth at all. (But I still could shift) And here's the real weird part. Just say Im driving with 4th gear. And I start slowing down. So I cluth all the way and start to do 4th-> 3rd -> 2ndbut when I try to do that I could feel like the stick is touching the gears and I could feel something is spinning down there and downshifting is like forcing the car to downshift. I didnt want to screw up my gears so in these days what I do is shift to N when I wanna slow down. But I kno that I am not suppose to do that but I dont wanna screw up my gears. So do you guys know what's happening? Appreciate that!!!

adjust the pedal more till it gets to the point that it disengages when you do press on the clutch pedal.

So how long is it gonna take? Is it easy? Or do you think the fluid could be the possible reason? Because someone told me it might be the fluid? Thanks for the help
