Can anyone tell why its doing this? 4th and 5th gear sensor is unplugged.
MAF is good and clean. Runs awesome but this is the only problem.

MODS: EMUSA coilovers, Injen Intake, Koyo Rad. One 12'' fan. B&M SS. Apexi Exhaust. Walbro.
Also removed the charcoal can and plugged up the vac lines from the front.

Got codes 11 and MAYBE 12 or 13. Couldn't really tell.

Usually the 5k rev limit is from the speed sensor signal from the cluster to the ecu. If the ecu sees too much speed, it will cure your rpms at 5k. Do you have a consult? You should be able to see what speed your ecu sees through your consult. Also it would be helpful to get the exact code its throwing.

That would definately solve the problem but I've heard takes a little bit of messing with, to get the idle in line because of the difference in tune, fire the heavy torque converter.

Well Idk Why it would be tied to the speed b/c it does it in neutral also.

It doesn't matter what gear your in, its what speed your ecu sees. for example, if you temporarily cut the signal to your ecu (yes your speedo will still work) that should get rid of your 5k, rev limit.

Your thing says rb20 correct? If so, a quick look at the ecu pin out and I could tell ya.

The speed wire to the ecu? Its usually like yellow/blue or something like that. If that'd the wire you snipped, than id be looking into the wire that goes to the ecu for the 4th and 5th gear sensors. Maybe something is causing your ecu to think your in 4th or 5th gear all the time?

Look at this pinout. If pin 33 or 42 are accidentally grounded to anything, your ecu will think you are in that gear all the time.

Around 5k rpms is where a weak spark will cause misfiring. Check your harness engine grounds and spark plug gaps.
