5k limiter in all gears speed sensor issues

hi guys i have a 92 240 and once i go into 5th gear it limits me to 5k in all of my gears, plus neutral.I don't go and it wont go away by unplugging the battery or shutting the car off. It sometimes goes away after a few time of in and out of 5th but comes right back after i go back into 5th. I don't want to get rid of the sensor (aka just unplug it). Main reason is cause its a drift car and i don't normally drive it at 115 plus. I've checked the sensor and the wires them selves don't look to bad. Any suggestion? thank you in advanced I all so have a 90 240 with the single cam will that transmission sensor fit?

will my 1990 240sx 5th gear sensor fit? The 90's a single cam. And the 92's a duel cam. last i drove the single cam it shifted smooth and no issues with the transmission
