Interesting timing from Dodge (assuming it actually happens, anyway).
The Raptor has gone ecoboost, which while still excellent, lacks some of the appeal of traditional V8 trucks.
Chrysler's major demographic is guys who want big loud V8s. So they're offering a nice counterpoint to the Raptor. Of course, I am skeptical that Chrysler's execution will be anywhere near as solid as Ford's, but if they could manage it, we'd have a nice broadening of options in the hot offroad truck segment.

Oh, and that hood is garbage. Looks like it fell out of a J.C. Whitney catalog. Which just goes back to what I said about execution...

Yeah if they do build it, it will probably be another 2 years.

I still prefer the Ford Raptor. Plus looks like the 2017 with 540HP is just a good and it's available now.

Oh, also: Dodge's new grilles are all hideous. Like someone spent 15 minutes with MS paint and then imported the result into a 3D printer.
