I've got a notch top with 550cc injectors un-tuned and every time I try to start the car I get a liquid lock. For those of you who are not familiar with the term it means there is so much fuel being dumped into the cylinders that the pistons can not move the pressure of the fuel.So my question is, IS it normal for an un-tuned car running much bigger injectors to get liquid locked to the point where the car will not start?

NO. It should run, just very rich.

Any ideas on what to check for? It seems to me that if it SHOULD run, then the issue is probably that I'm not getting spark. I had it running before and now it won't start. Could a bad CAS cause the plugs to not fire?

Check for bad lower injector o-rings, one or more is probably bad and dumping fuel.

are they Venom injectors? I was reading some supra board about venom being total crap and guys hydrolocking and bending rods.

Venom also goes by the name python and TLFperformance on ebay.

The o rings are fine, I just had the injectors out the other day and I even had a diagram to compare it to.And the injectors are not venom, they are Denso's

to me it sounds like your injector O-ring is leaking sometimes injectors don't snap and good. Unbolt the fuel injection rail so that you can see it unplug the injectors. Aim it away from you and have somebody turn the TV on for just a second the fuel pump automatically runs for a few seconds and if you are seeing gas spray out, you got an O- ring problem , that's only thing I can think of that would actually dumped that much gas. You're also going to need to change OIL . That will contaminated the hell out of!!

So you're saying when the fuel pump primes there shouldn't be any fuel coming out of the injectors?
