550cc injectors

will the injectors that fit a dsm 97 talon fit in an sr20det? Someone on ebay is selling rc 550 injectors that were going into a talon and sold the car b4 he put them in.

I dont know a whole lot about dsm but if the injectors are top feed they will not work. Only use side feed injectors. You might want to ask the seller a couple of questions if you have not already. Be safe man. Why do you want the bigger injectors, do you have plans for a bigger turbo? Just curious.

Yeah I am going with a upgraded turbo, FMIC, Pfc f-con, 3 inch exhaust all the way down, no cat, metal 1.5 mm head gasket, Nismo cams, and a heavy foot! Going for 400 plus rwhp.

I started with 5000 but it is looking more like 7000 now.

those should be top feed....SR uses side feed...you would need a fuel rail. they arent drop in

check out jgycustoms.com for fuel rails. $130 for the rail and about $75 per injector is a cheaper way to go then $150 per injector.shaun

i dont think rc injectors are that good in the first place...and i think the 550cc inj. are just drilled out of smaller inj...

I had RC Lucas 550s at one point in my DSM. They are ok but they seem to go get clogged alot. I finally stepped up to Denso 660s which worked wonderously. Check and see if Denso has any 550s for your car.

What type of turbo are you planning to run? Ive been talking to Forced Performance about getting a Green available for the SR. Might wanna think about that. Greens power several 10-12 sec DSMs including my 94 (rip)

imo-gotta get out of that dsm mentality, and look into what people are using on their SR's....many options out there.

Thanks alot for all your responces. I am the only person in Alaska with an sr so it is hard for me to talk to someone with knowlege about this type of thing. I just had a hard time coping with the fact that I am going to have to pay 125 plus per injector but I guess that is what I am going to have to do. I money is going quick around here.

thats not what you 'have' to do...you can get MSD or Accel injectors for under 100 a piece, you will just have to get a jwt fuel rail or something for 140-250...and maybe a resistor
