So 2 of my injectors took a crap on me today on the highway and I found that new ones are $173 each...efff that. I found a new set of Deatschwerks 550cc injectors for a KA on frsport and they're $379. So I was wondering if it's a good idea to run bigger injectors on a NA, I know they flow more fuel, and I have a walboro 255 btw. But is there really anything I need to do to make them work? I don't want to have to screw with the ecu and I'm figuring I would. But enough drunk rambling. Main question(s): can it be done as plug and play? If not what do I need to do? Or am I really drunk/stupid and not realize running big injectors on a NA is a bad idea altogether? Thank you ladies and gents, time to get back to Sir Robert the Bruce, compliments of three floyds.

Bigger injectors require a tune to compensate.

Where could I get a tune done and how much do you think it'd cost, a rough estimate works. But is it a good idea to do this or does it not matter? Do you make more power?

ROM tune usually runs $300-$500.

Just get used OEM injectors. The bigger injectors won't give you any more power even after the tune.

Alright, I kinda figured they wouldn't. I just don't want to spend all that money on oem when aftermarket is half the price. Does Deatschwerks make ka24de oem injectors?

Dude just get some used ones. Injectors don't fail that often and in my opinion it's a waste of money to buy new unless you're upgrading.

Getting bigger injectors and having to get a tune on a stock engine is absurd.

Yes, get used OEM ones, should be able to find 2 for under $40.
