So a friend of mine got his sr two years ago and was planning a build, but the guy who was going to build it flaked out. I found out about this a few months ago and the build is back on but it has morphed from an average sr build to a monster...

So heres the plan-

Mazworks 90mm sleeved blockMazworks 91mm stroker kitMazworks Stage 3 P&P headMazworks Intake ManifoldMazworks top-mount Turbo ManifoldJun Stage 3 camsGreddy Rocker StoppersRC 1600cc InjectorsGarrett GT3788rGreddy r33 fmicwater/meth injectionApexi power fcvg transMazworks Carbon fiber driveshaftDiff.??????? TBD

This will be 2.34l displ. when done and bullet proof

we are also doing all suspension and brake upgrades first10,000hp is fun until you have to stop!!!

Full SPL Suspension, r32 calipers with 300zx rotors for now 350z rotors wont clear stock wheel.

This will not be an overnight build this much money and time isn't going to be ruined due to rushing... will post pics as we progress.

This is the original engine he planned to build(300-350hp). we cleaned it up and painted it, but the we decided sleeved 2.34l monster so its extra now. maybe install it into a 65 beetle

Mazworks is running this same block/head combo in their 1600hp drag car but that is not quite reliable enough for a daily driver-- street maybe reliable no, but it is capable of 60+ psi and 10000 rpm we are hoping for 850ish on race gas water/meth and prayers at the dyno, 550 to 650 on street trim. engine will cost us about 17500 but it will be worth it...

Sounds like a bunch of window shoppers to me. There is no reason to spend 17k on a motor to make 600+hp Unless its going to be a full drag car. This car will be completely pointless if its a daily driver or just something to drive on the street.

Mazwork is running a fully built VVE head, not s14 head. so you don't have the same block/head combo.

Either way. If you go ahead and waste the money on the build then COOL post up your pics its just kinda weird that you have 4 posts on nico and right away you post talking about how sick of an sr your building.

Good luck.

Also its not even his own build. Build threads should not even be started unless it shows progress from the beginning! Pics from start to end! Not pics of a stock sr20 block and some 50.00 z32 calipers on a freshly turned oem rotor. I counted a total of about 800.00 in parts photographed.

Yeah at least show us that you torn down the motor and already have some of the parts sitting on your bed room floor. I bet this thread stops here or it will turn into "Im serious, me and my best friend are going to put our money together and build this motor" blah blah. Well unless you guys work for Microsoft I don't see this motor being built anytime this year or the next
