Hi any ideas on what may cause the vibration on 55 mph. Is a 4wd suspension re built, took it to alignment and tire balance. Hits the 55 mph vibrates a lot then passes the 55 mph and it gets a little better, downhill step of throttle a little and disappears.
Thanks

My drive shaft carrier bearing was shot. You should check that. Older tires can balance good on a shop balanced but still give vibration on the road. If the vibration is constant, then I'd vote for the shaft carrier bearing. If the vibration cycles while at a constant speed, then its in the tires.

Hey fastboatman, what is the purpose of the rubber donut on the CB? I replaced mine less than 2000 miles ago but the new one's rubber has already ripped all apart.

Maybe is the shaft carrier bearing because it sounds like the shaft is vibrating, tires are almost new. I’ll check the bearing.

That's a good link for the driveshaft problems found in lifted 4x4's since the pinion angle can become excessive really easily when raising the suspension.
For the vibration problem you're talking about, it could be a worn u joint, or wheel bearing, or if it happens at certain speeds then goes away it could be a bad tire. But from the looks of the pics you posted, that could very well be your problem right there...
