520 engine swap

i just got a 67 L520 with a blown motor and have access to a nice 1600 out of a 510 does anyone kno how hard this swap is and what i need to do it sucessfully the truck is all there and really straight and i have access to a 510 tranny if i need it this is my first swap soo any info u guys have would be really helpful thanx

How bad is the motor.  I am a new owner of a 67 also and found parts very easy to find.

i am curious too but i would like to know about putting in a sr20det. do u guys have pics of your 520s?

it has a 5 inch square hole in the block and its a 1500 which has set since it threw the rods in 91 ide like to do a L16 swap bcuz thats a stronger and higher revving motor but i cant find any info on the swap i have a tranny for it qand everything ide just like to find sumone who has done the swap soo i can see pics of the motor mounts and how they set it up

I don't know where you got the notion that an L series engine is stronger that a J series.  Higher performance, yes, but not stronger.  J engines were used in forklifts and other industrial equipment.

it can take more proformance abuse an Lseries will out rev a j series by far and theres way more ways to make them faster

can u guys measure how long/wide/deep the engine bay is?
