520 and 521 winshields

Does anyone know if the original windshields were tinted or not

Do you mean the tint at the very top of the windshield area? Not the whole thing, right?

No.

To my knowledge, that came along in the early 70s. I have heard of / seen some "special" windshields and glass for the 510 (71, 72 maybe) that was tinted from the factory, but it was only for a specific regional market.

The 520/521 had clear glass.
