510 transmission question

Hey, just bought a 72 Datsun 510 4 door. came with a built L20b, and the 5 speed out of a 200sx, don't know what year. it is supposed to be an up left reverse, down left first. i have been told it will fit in the car with no mods and be able to use the stock driveshaft, just wondering if there is any truth in that, any help would be appreciated. ( the car is in pieces, and I don't have everything for a test fit.)
