Can anyone tell me what I can use to control this in my turbo setup without using the Jwt ECU?

I'm planning to run about 10 psi with a t3. Maybe retard timing a little bit. I've read about the hack maf and I was wondering what are your thoughts on that with this setup. safe? unsafe?

for 10psi on a t3 370cc injectors would be enough. definitly retard your timing .5 degrees for every 1psi. i think the hacked mafs is a cheap and proven way to run bigger injectors

The reason that I am using the 50lb injectors is because I got it for real cheap. About the same price as the 370's. Have you guys ever heard of the Apexi AFC? I think this is the first version of air fuel control that first came out.

I think it lacks the resolution of the newer units, in that its far less flexible. Fewer points to adjust, I believe.. which would mean that you couldn't fine tune the stumbles and such. Not sure, but something to consider. Also consider how f'in hard its gonna be to get tech support on a 10 year old japanese electronic unit...

OK, so what you guys are sayin is that I can use the Safc, to tune both the 50lb injectors and the Z32 MAF so that my t3 can run up to 10lbs. Can I still use this to run 15lbs or no? What other electronic device can I use thats around or under $400? I'm working with a very low budget here, thanks

I've run 16 or so PSI on my T3 with a 50lb/hr setup, but it didn't really do much more after 14 psi or so.Dynoed at 10psi: 224rwhpDynoed at 14psi: 242rwrpDidn't dyno at 16psi, but it didn't feel any faster. Those numbers are about where a T3 runs out of flow.

erich,

what kind of fuel management did you have with your t3 setup. I was thinking about getting the Safc II over the Jwt to save me some money so that I can get a 2 stage boost controller or maybe some other mod. Do you guys think its worth it for me to get the JWT or save money and buy more?

I use JWT. The dyno runs logged the A/F ratio and it was perfect throught the entire range. At 14psi it was between 12.2 and 12.4 from 3K to redline. The nice thing about the JWT setup is it si plug and play. You pay your money and you run well (not perfect) quick. If you get an emanage you need to get some dyno time to set it up properly, and you need to hack into your wiring harness to install it. How much is your time and dyno time worth? Probably more then the diffrence between a JWT ECU and an emanage.

also if you just just afc you need to work w/ timing too... btm or something would be an additional expense.
