Figured I would share my experience with the the airbag replacement,

I had this done in august I received the letter in April that I had the claymore mine in my passenger side, they said it would take a month to get the parts in to do the job. Never heard anything from Infiniti so I just called my dealership early August and they just told me to come in and drop the car off and they will take care of it. One week later after enjoying the new QX60 they gave me(They tried to give me a QX30 I'm 6'3 300lbs,we had a good laugh watching me try to fit in that) then I got a call that it was done, I picked my car up pretty late around 8PM so it was a little dark out and I didn't bother inspecting there work since I have had other things done with this dealership I expected a very clean and professional job like they always do and what you would expect from a Luxury car service department. I get in my car the next morning to go to work and now with the sunlight shining I can now see my once pristine dashboard completely ravaged, every edge around the AC vents and center screen have cracks and chunks missing of the soft touch material. I go to the dealership after work unannounced and ask to speak with the service manager, I bring him to my car and have him sit in the passenger seat and ask him if he see's anything wrong here all he could say was " wow they gave this back to you like this". We go back inside he hands me the keys to a QX60 and says we will order you a new dash board and install it for free, he also stated that Infiniti expected dash boards to get messed up in the airbag replacement so they made more and that they would be free of charge if they cracked during replacement.

Long story short if they crack your dash board when they replace your airbag they should replace it free of charge, I had this done at Competition Infiniti of St.James,Ny

The dealership has my Infiniti now and they said they just went ahead and ordered a new dash as they assumed they were going to damage it. I should have my car back by this Friday, they gave us a Chrysler 300 for the loaner/rental car. My dash was pretty cracked up in the first place so the replacement dash is good news to me.

Dropped my 06 m35x today at my local dealer and was suprised to get an qx50 3.7 with a sexxy a** chestnut interior. Very satisfied with my local dealers. My advisor advised me that my dash is in bad shape which i knew. He assured me any additional damage they would just replace my dash. Fingers crossed i dont get stuck with a $1200 plus bill. I will update when i get my car back with before and after pictures and videos.

So I finally got my car back today no added damage to my dash unfortunately. I must say i was undecided on an m37xs or keep my M once its paid off. Well that qx50 made up my mind. Totally glad to do buisness with my dealership. No i just have to find a uncracked used dash to replace mine with.

Wish they would drop the V8 in it like they had with the FX45 and FX50 that would make that QX50 so much better. Check ebay for dashboards I did find a few, but your best bet would be to find a local parts m35 and take the dash from that. Idk if you planned on replacing it yourself but it looks like a major pain to replace :/

got my M back and I must say the new dash is perfect, my old dash was cracked really bad and they could not do the work without more damage to it. The Infiniti dealership south of Atlanta did a wonderful job I am more than surprised by the quality and timeliness of the work and the communication they had with me during the process. Now I need to get the seats re-done ASAP!

Hoping to find one locally. Definately won't be trying to replace the dash myself.

I was finally able to take my M to the dealership in for the airbag recall. They had already ordered me a new dash for the repair. I took it in on Friday 730a and by 1245p they had text me that it was done. I picked it up and looks really good. no scratches or cracks in my dash that I can see. I went over the whole dash and the spots that the original technician was reviewing and no cracks. so far I'm happy with the job and satisfied. Of course all of it was at no charge. They did provide me a rental from Enterprise cars at now charge also. I would recommend to anyone getting this job done make sure they order you a new dash prior to the work being done. This will eliminate any new cracks on any original dashes you may have. Even tho my original dash had 2 very small cracks on it, they replaced it with a new one.

Good luck to those in the future
