Well, today is an anniversary of sorts. I was sitting around a week or so ago and got thinking that it had been almost 5 years since I bought my 300zx. In some ways it seems like its been forever that I've had that car, and in others it seems that there is no way its been that long. Like it was yesterday, I can remember being shocked that at 19 I got approved for the car loan to buy it. You may or may not know, I had wanted a 300zx since I was a kid. I saw one down in Florida while visiting my grandmother and took a picture of it. It was just a base model non-turbo but I instantly knew that was the car I had to have when I grew up. I told my Dad I was going to buy one (I was 9 and they were $35,000+ for a fully loaded TT) and he laughed. Well turns out in December of 2000 I got one And man, for a car that was only going to get some paint work and a couple bolt ons...it sure got a heck of a lot of blood, sweat, tears, and of course, money poured into it. Its gone from bone stock to 650+hp worth of show and go insane in a short time. The exhilarating drives, crazy stories, expensive headaches, international recognition, endless memories, and the pure passion I have developed thanks to this car are definitely priceless. Here's a sampling of pictures of it from over the years....

Thanks for checking it out

Jerry, it's crazy you've had the Z that long and all the progress over the years. Really it's the hottest Z ever, hands down . Thats coming from someone whose spent countless hours detailing the bejeezus out of it for shows or helping tear apart the motor for the rebuild and for driving the beast around(STUPID FAST). Seeing it win the many awards the past 3 years has been awesome and I know theres more to come.

Thanks bro You definitely had a hand in getting her to where she is now. And the fun never ends. Always more to do to make it even better. 06 is going to be even better than 05. Plus it will be 10 times more fun when you have a z32 of your own. Thanks again dude.

Yeah 06 is going to be a great year for the Z. Can't wait for all the shows to start up again. No thanks needed man, seeing the look on peoples faces when they see it is thanks enough. Knowing I had a hand in helping to get it look uber clean.

I love anniversary Threads!

I'm glad to see you still love your car. It's not many cars that you can get that only get better with age! I can only hope that one day(many years after I pay it off) my Z can be half the car your is.

Thanks Jezter! Absolutely still love the car, some day you'll have to see it in person. And as for your car, I'm sure it will be nothing short of amazing after you've got some years of wrenching into it

Thanks!

I have to agree though on not seeing many people around here (Cleveland) with Z's, and the ones that are around here are generally beat up non-turbos
