My 87 300D Turbo Benz has never been painted, 17 years old. I have been having trouble with water spots, and streaks. I tried every wax that was avaliable locally. Nothing would stay on over 2 month. I am a member of the Mbenz forum: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/category-view.aspIn the Detailing and car care forums, I found out about 5 Star shine and this forum. After some investigation, I decided to bite the bullet and order 5 Star Shine. I put the 87 in the shop garage and started the process of cleaning it. I used 3M polishing compound to get it clean. I hot pressure washed it and polished it again. This time I took care to get all of it clean including the black trim. I read the 5 Star instructions and followed them to the letter. Step by step. The next morning I finished the installation. Geesh! The 87 was slick as a pealed onion. The actual process of putting on the 5 Star was so easy.I left the 87 outside for 3 weeks. Then decided to follow up on washing it. Hummm! can't see any black streaks. Some leaves and dirt on it, the weather had presented some sleet and several rains. I mixed the 5 Star one ounce wash in a gallon of water. rinsed off the 87 with a water hose and started the Mitt wash. 5 minutes later I was ready to chamious it. It was spotless. I am going to give my son a 5 Star shine on his 320 Benz for Christmas. Then I am going to do my G500. I have always tried to keep my vehicles in top shape. 5 Star shine makes my effort easier. Chad, you folks got me for sure!

My car is pretty dirty right now. I have 5 Star on, and I usually just wipe it down with a wet microfber cloth and it cleans it right up to a nice shine, but I'm a little worried about doing that now. It is just way to dirty because of all of the ice and sand that they throw down because of the snow. I will have to take it to a car wash and spray it down with one of their power sprayers and wipe it down there. It is too damn cold though. Hasn't been over 30 for a couple days.

Ill be interested to see how it works up close....

Id certainly like the idea of being able to wipe or rinse the car off rather than having to fully wash it.....

Don't tell me Zaino is no good. I just ordered a whole S*it load of it. It's still sitting in the box, I was going to try it after X-mas. I read how great it supppose to be.

Same stuff, basically.

I'm a Zaino guy too. Same box of goodies.

It is indeed incredible stuff, as is 5Star.

Thank goodness! I can't be throwing away anymore money on my car, it's been flying out the window here lately. And I want my car to look good when it sounds good with my catbacks. My Injen cold air intake was shipped out today. AZ:greenboun

Man I completely forgot about Zaino. For a while there I had it on my mind everyday, telling myself to order some, but I never did. I'll either get that or 5star I guess. Which one is easier/quicker to put on I wonder? (lazy)

Well, I sprayed my car off with the sprayer at the car wash. $1.75 for 10 minutes. It blew everything off the car. I just used some microfiber towels to dry it off and it looked like I had just washed it. Best $1.75 I have ever spent. Too bad it rained an inch and a half last night and this morning I had to drive through a couple of construction zones on my way to work. Now it is all dirty again.

Hey All, Chad Here. Hope you had a great Christmas. I'm glad that you all are seeing how great 5 Star really is. Thanks for writing in your feedback. I know it's pretty cold and snowy in alot of places right now so it will be great to hear how 5 Star is working for you in the winter. Thanks again. I'm going to to add this link to the 5 Star users thread I have going.-Chad

Well, I thought I would come back here and let you guys know my experience with 5 Star Shine. I put it on about 3 months ago, and then the bad weather set in. I didn't wash it for until about a week ago, so you can imagine how nasty it was. This was my 4x4 Ford F-250 that has been through the mud and snow with regularity. I used the hose to get the big stuff off, then simply used a sponge to wipe the entire truck down. After a short rinse and dry it looked great. Water still beads and finish is still slick. So far I have been very happy. I hope it lasts as long as advertised!

Hey all, it has been a good while since I've written to check up on those who've treated their cars with 5 Star Shine. It would be a great help to me if some of you would write back your thoughts as to how it has been working on your vehicles. I'd really appreciate it!-Chad

Well the winter is about over and it has been several months since I first applied 5 Star shine to my old 87 300D Turbo mercedes with the original paint. The shine and slick finish is still on the car. I have never had any protectant to stay on this long. I am well pleased with 5 Stars claim. Their product is definitely my choice of products to protect my old buggy. Thank you 5 Star and Chadster for producing such a fine product. I can wash the Benz in 5 minutes with your great soap. Scuff marks just dissapear in seconds. It goes on my Gwagen next!I am not affiliated with the 5 Star makers. Just a very pleased customer!
