well, i sucked it up and spent the day today giving the Q the 5 star treatment. washed, clay bared, and applyed the 5 star car protection. other than the cold PA weather today, it wasn't all that bad (allright, it was that bad, dipping your hand in a bucket of water on a cold day stinks!!!!)

the results from the clay bar and the 5 star are stunning:D the paint is smooth like glass and appears to be "wet".

chad was nice enough to help me get the product overnighted last week, and everyone at the company was very helpful and professional. thanks:ylsuper pretty much any product will look good when it's first applied, so i'll keep everyone updated on the long term results. with the, i'm betting, harsh pa winter and the fact i live in a town with a cement factory, and TONS of cement dust everyday, should be a good test for 5 star.

i took pictures today and will develop them this week and hopefully post them when finished.

Good to hear Jeff. I'm sure we're all glad to hear today's and future results. I honestly bought a lot of Zaino stuff less than 2 weeks before Chad joined NICO; otherwise I would have been first in line. Of course, I haven't had a solid weekend free yet, so the stuff is still sitting in its box. I did use the clay bar on the trunk lid though. Great stuff.

I've heard alot of good stuff about 5 star and Zaino. I'm gonna have to break down and try it out one of these days. Would be nice to get a nice wax coat on there before winter comes around

You know, my water heater has a threaded bib that my hose fits onto just right, so I get warm water out of there. Not hot, just warm. I don't know what kind of mixing goes on inside the heater, or if all heaters have this, but it's worth looking into if your water heater is close to where you wash your car. Besides not freezing your hands, warm water breaks dirt and oils down better than cold water does.
