I'm interested in the cost and availability of a 16x8/10 +10 or so of these types of rims. I have no idea who makes them, or what other brands might be similar. I know they look much like a Slipstream, but I wouldn't know where to go to get wheels in my desired size and offset.

Any pointers?

I can assure you that those are not 16's in the pic you posted. More likely they are 17x9 and 18x10. There's no way 16's would have fitment like that.

But here you go... Giant Spoon wheels 18x10.5+18 for $2100:http://www.jspec.com/18sigtrre.html

Or you can go full-on fail status with some Rota Slipstreams in 17x8.5+35.

do NOT get rota slipstreams.. but if you do, please just sell your car and get a honda.

Save the money and get regamasters, spoon, or rota rpf1s if you are on a tight budget.

Rota doesn't make rpf1s....Enkei does.

Ha ha! I missed that! Nice catch Pinoyboy! lol

I think he meant Rota R45R's.

Speaking of Enkei RPF1's, They aren't as light as Buddy Club P1's. I wonder why they're aren't more 240's rocking Buddy Clubs?

I'd be interested in a set of full-on-fail-fake Rota's if they came in something other than +35.

Sorry, I'm hard on wheels. I drive my car in Pennsylvania. We have pots holes, expansion joints, occasionally a dirt road. I have no interest in dropping over $1200 bucks on a set of wheels to deal with that kind of crap.

At any rate, thanks for the information folks. Looks like I'm out of luck on a cheap set of something similar in style.

^^^ Oh don't get me wrong... Them being Rota's doesn't make them fail, IMO. I have no problem with Rota at all. It's the sizes that are full-on fail.

Plus, I'm not really hot on the idea of having a wheel style so closely associated with Honda's on a 240. Not that theres anything wrong with Honda's...

Edit: After reading the 1st post again, the wheel specs are listed on that car as 18x9 and 18x9.5 but the tire sizes are listed as 215/40/17 & 225/40/18...

Whatever. That's clearly a 17 up front.

Just gonna say to the post above this, just because people put them on honda's doesn't make them "honda wheels"

People put TE37's on Civic's all day, that doesn't change how they're looked at on a different car. So Desmond Regamaster's shouldn't receive that reputation either.

^^^ I understand where you're coming from, but when I see those wheels, the first thing that comes to my mind is Spoon. Just like when I see Ray's LMGT4's, I automatically think Nismo.

These wheels are like a trademark branding point and therefore it should not be a surprise that they are closely associated with the companies that they've chose to affiliate with. It's called Brand Identity...

thats what the bandwagon honda cowd calls slipstreams in my town. and then when you tell them that the real wheels are desmond regamasters there like what the hell are they?lol

99.7% of the import car sence in my town rocks fake "replica" wheels, i hate fake wheels, they buy them because everyone else buys them.

Are you referring to these wheels?

Can anyone tell me why these wheels are not subject to the same amount to ridicule and these wheels?

They are obviously both knockoffs of the same wheel...

...But replica wheels like the Bee*R, Uras NS-01, M2 Hanbai DT-05R's and etc don't get the flack that Rota gets. Is it just because they aren't constructed in Japanland?

Sorry for the threadjack, OP! but any of these wheels would look better on your s13 anyways! lol

Yeah those rotas look great.

How about elite wheels? Are they any good? They look just like meisters and come in 17x9 +15

Rota bashers are usually JDM elitists, but they do have a point about knock-offs being bad for the industry. But I just don't care. But it sucks how they bash Rota and not some others. But then again, I don't really care.

LOL at Rega's being Honda wheels, Rega's are made in Russia and used by racing teams all over the world, some of the hottest wheels around imo. Expect to pay out around 1500-2000 for a decent sized set. Just pick up some Rota slipstreams if you want some cheap 16's.

Please don't encourage buying knock-offs... It makes it more expensive for us who want QUALITY name brand goodies!
