O.K. there are 5 sensors on a M/T. The first one is on top the bellhousing, thats the speed sensor just plug into the A/T wire harness. right?

next is the reverse lamp switch, run two wires to the plug down under the hood, that will make my reverse lights work. right?

next is the OD position switch or 5th position switch dont need it, leave it unplugged. right?

next is the neutral position switch, do i need to hook that up? do i have to run wires to my ECU?

next is a sensor on the pass side rear of the transmission, what is it and what do i do with it? my A/T wire harness plugs into it. is that for the speed ometer?

and now i have left over plugs and what looks like the transmission fluid temp sensor (i think) on my A/T wire harness, just leave them hang, cut them, what?

thanx for any replys

First off, this is a turbo forum. Where we discuss turbo related topics, a 5spd swap is hardly turbo related. Second, if you looked at the friggin sticky you would have seen a link to ALL of Nico's tech articles. One of them being a 5spd swap. But I'll save you the effort, here's a link.

First off, Didn't know things were so strict around here, I am turboed and i figured since i had a turbo this is where i post. Excuse me for INCOVENIENCING you. I didn't ask for such a cocky *** reply nor did i deserve one. Secondly, I have read the FRIGGEN STICKY and it didn't answer the questions i was asking. If you would have read my post properly YOU would have known that. thank you very much.

I concur. The wiring aspect of that tech article is very lacking. He doesnt mention the 2 unused connectors and what to do with them or really explain the reverse light wiring very well. Im also sure as hell not using bloody scotchlocks on a wiring harness.

I'm the last person you want to get on the bad side of bro...

Ask around, I always help people out. I answer emails, I assist via AIM and I've walked people through wiring on the damn phone. You posted a bunch of times in a row, with the last one prior to my post coming off as an a$$. Don't get your panties in a bunch because I told you that the thread was in the wrong forum.

If you read the sticky first, then you should mentioned it. You could have also referenced questions directly from that article so we could better assist you.

But no, you wanna be spoon fed everything. I'm a nice guy, just don't piss in my Cherios man. As you can clearly see, no one answered your questions, most likely because you came off as a d!ck. Who wants to help out someone like that? This is a great community, just make it work for you.

Alright WD, SORRY got off on the wrong foot. I work about 80 hours a week raise 2 kids and a very needy wife. Doesn't leave me much time to build my car. I was just excited and was after 3 months of building (one day a week if that) finally ready to start my new 5 speed turbo 240.

I've manage to buy this car with a nocking rod, swap the motor out with a rebuilt one out a 96. do a 5 speed swap and turbo the car all from reading thing out of NICO i didn't know (search more than post). and i did all of this by myself. not one person has laid there has on my car, except installing the transmission, so please dont say im spoon feed. far from it. there is a differance between spoon fed and not wanting to fry something.

But anyway Sorry Dude

No worries at all bro. Any DIYer is cool in my book. There isn't anything on my car that I didn't fab. From FMIC to down pipe I made it all. Although in the end I wish I had just bought a EBAY FMIC kit...lol. But the didn't offer as many 3 years ago...

I wish I could help you with the swap thing. Personally I'd stay auto, but that's cause I like drag racing. I also HATE traffic

I work 12hr days everyday as well, my wife is prego, I have an ex wife and a 12yr old with her. So I understand and totally feel your pain. I often over react and lash out without thinking. But it's only because I usually feel very passionately about whatever the topic is.

Anyway, best of luck with the car. Boost is worse then heroin so be careful.
