5 Speed transmission failure

Hi everybody, I am in need of a bit of help. Was driving my TT the other night and shifting into 3rd i had a grind and now there is no 3rd gear, no 4th gear, and no reverse. I still have 1st 2nd and 5th so technically it is drivable if i never have to reverse. I am not familiar with the inner workings of transmissions and it was suggested to me that this might just be a linkage failure. Any insight on what might cause this problem other than me driving like a jackass? Also if it is indeed a linkage problem is suck a thing repairable or should i just shoot for a used replacement? yea get a replacement i have a salvage yard in sulphur louisiana i can locate you one and give you some numbers to call that show it on my nation wide locating system just let me know
