5 speed tranny

I ran across a 5 speed tranny for sale that came out of a 280Z and was then used in a 510 wagon behind a L18 motor. Any one know if this would fit in a '79 620 w/ a 1950cc engine?

With some work it will. The Z 5 speed is longer and will require modification the the mount and shortening of the driveshaft. It will place the shift lever a bit farther rearward than I'd like in a truck.

Not to take anything away from this board, but you'd find a lot more info on that subject at http://forum.ratsun.net/index.php

Do a search there....the question has probably been answered several times. It just may fit quite easily if your rig already has a long tail tranny.
