Ok this is driving me crazy. I've read up basically everywhere I can find, and I'm pretty sure that the reason my engine is not cranking is because I never looped/jumpered the neutral saftey switch when I did my AT-->MT swap.

Thing is, I simply CANNOT find the right wires that I need to splice together. I've searched the FSM, asked lots of people etc etc. To make matters worse, in the effort of neatness I cut off the automatic transmission plugs from the back of the fuse box and taped them all up. They look good when all tucked away, but now it is impossible to find the correct "plug" simply by a description of the plug's original orientation. Here's a pic to show you guys what I mean:

As you can see I really have no idea what wire went to what anymore.

Now, I need to know: is the neutral saftey switch or whatever located on that (rear) side of the fuse box, or is it attached to the DRIVER'S side of the fuse box, like here:

I am thinking that it could be this plug also, that I am holding there (black/yellow and white). Note that the plug is turned around backwards to more easially show the wire...

What do you guys think? Any kind of info regarding wire orientation or color would REALLY be helpful. Note this is on a 1993 automatic S13.

Thanks guys!!

another view from under the fuse box:

you can see the little tab there that I think the plug originally mounted on... Is it possible that the plug to the left in this pic that is disconnected (this is that black/yellow and white plug from the other pic) that that plug used to be under the box, and that is the plug I need?? Argh you can see how wire colors would really be helpful...

Here is a (crappy) pic of the wiring diagram for the starting system. Am I looking for the 2 wire plug that goes into the inhibitor switch? ...Or is it something else?

small version:

huge version:click for large version

Seems to make sense, as it looks like in this diagram that the inhibitor switch will only complete the E12 circut if the car is in neutral or park. So B/Y B/W it is? Ill look for it in that bunch of wires in a couple mins.

This should help. Once you jump these your car should start. You won't have reverse lights though untill you wire up the sensor. I took a few pics a while ago to help people with the location.

FOUND IT!, and the car CRANKS PERFECTLY NOW!!

The freakin wire (black/white and black/yellow as noted in the diagram above) was HIDING from me underneath the fuse box. I found it by following the black/yellow wire from the starter, through the 1st plug (E19 on the diagram), and then through the INSIDE of the freakin fuse box. All this time I was convinced that it couldnt have been that wire because it went inside the fuse box, but apparantly it just goes through the box itself and never connects to anything. I found the plug and the other wire waiting for me on the other side there (see pic) mocking me.

Ah well, thanks for everyones help!!
