Maybe the new transmission had a bad speed sensor?

Maybe you can test the sensor output.

I cannot remember the voltage range, but maybe check your FSM.

good luck

So u're sure that this shouldnt happen when doing auto->manual swap?

I guess I should have mentioned that I used S13 transmission for the swap into an S14.

I read that the speed sensor is causing this problem. Is this the case? SHould i invesnt in one?thanks

bps71, do u have s14 with s13 manual transmission?

nismo, yes i have bunch of codes

0802 - crank pos sensor 0804 - A/T diag line 1203 - overrun clutch solenoid valve (A/T control unit detects improper voltage) 1204 - T/C clutch solenoid (A/T control unit detects improper voltage) 1205 - line pressure solenoid valve (A/T control unit detects improper voltage)

Is there a way to fix all the A/T codes without getting a manual ecu? Or is it just best to get manual ecu?

Also, how do i get rid of the crank pos sensor code?

i think its the speed sensor issue. i have a s14 transmission in my s13 and the speedo is showing half. didnt want to mess with the speedo gears so i just got the apex RSM

I am pretty sure the s14 and s13 speed sensors give off different signals. You will have to do a search to confirm this.

I guy told me he had solved this problem by installing an resistor(hope thats the correct name) at about 1000ohm , never tried it myself tho.
