Car: 1991 Z32, automatic transmission, VG30DE engine swap from a 1996 Infiniti

Post

Hi everyone. I'm new here so I apologize if this has already been posted.
I have a 1991 Z32, with the VG30DE engine from a 1996 Infiniti. It's an automatic transmission, but I have been considering a swap. A friend of mine has an RB25DET with an RB20 transmission, so I was considering swapping engines and trannys. But for the sake of money I was thinking about just changing out my transmission for a 5 speed and calling it a day.
Has anyone done either of these swaps? Whats are the pros and cons of both? And most importantly; how much modification was needed to fit the RB25 engine and RB20 trans into the Z32?
Thank you in advance for any advice you can give.

Welcome to Nico!

Sorry to see that noone has replied to your post yet. Either project will be quite involved. Piecing together everything you need can be a challenge. Anytime someone offers kits or conversionparts, it will make your job easier.

5-speed swap:

RB swap:

Google search either swap and you'll find plenty of info.

For the record, RB swapped Z32s are sweet.
