OK the Auto Pilot Bushing from the crankshaft is larger than the manual pilot bushing. My mechanic called a Nissan dealer and apparently they made 2 different crankshafts. Its sitting in the air and i don't want the auto back in it. Any help would be appreciated.

And yes i did use the search button...

I'd call another dealership and tell that Nissan tech hes full of s***, there is only one pilot bushing for a manual 240, they are the same from S12-S15's nothing has changed with that.

The hole size for the pilot bushing is larger than the manual one that came with the clutch kit. The hole will be bigger than the one that the auto pilot bushing came out of. in other words the bushing fill be rattling around in there and cause more issues than i want.

these are the pics he sent me... not very good but hopefully the will help

I've never heard about it. Ref # 32202 is assigned to all s13 and s14 pilot bushings, so basically they use exact same pilot bushing. You got to have a different crack shaft to have this problem. I have no idea what's going on. I feel your frustration, but on the other hand, your car is special.

From what the mechanic told me Nissan did make 2 crankshafts. So if thats the case I'm basically screwed and out over $700 unless any one knows a fix to the problem.

Mic the opening and see what size it is, and then order a pilot bearing from the clutch company you bought your clutch from.

Thats what I thought. Is there any chance youve got your autos and manuals mixed up or something??

Outer diameter of pilot bushings should be same for both auto and manual, but his is different meaning he has different crankshaft.

Like holemilk00 said, measure the hole and contact clutch company. I'm sure they have a ton of different pilot bushings laying around. Man, I can't imagine how frustrated you are. Car is at the shop, auto transmission is out and you can't find right one fast. I'm so sorry to hear this.

Definately never heard of different sized input shafts. I never use pilot bushings from clutch kits though, always get an OEM one.

I'm just saying screw it throw the auto back in and save for a ca18 or rb20 and not worry about it matching up...
