5 speed swap difficulties cel 1-11

as the title says, after i did my 5 speed swap for my 98 240sx i keep getting the check engine light code 111 which is about my inhibitor switch

for my 5th gear sensor and my neutral switch. how do i know i did it wrong? did it right?

Orion said that code 111 only comes up with automatic ECUs, so what I did was I swapped in a 97 240sx J6 ecu i know FOR SURE that is manual. What I previously had in there was a WM ecu which i searched on here stated it should've been a manual ECU from a 98. After I swapped the WM for the J6, still got the code 111.

i wish i had a diagnostic check thingy for the ecu so i can stop wasting gas to see my check engine light will trip lol.
