I am seriously contemplating selling my 350GT and getting a 370GT, but I am unsure if I should get an 07/08 with the 5 speed or wait until I can source a 08/09 with the 7 speed.

Are there any major advantages of having either one over the other?

I do not want a manual.

Andy long time no see. How is the game business? Still working on games?

7 speed will give you the better gasmilage for sure. Not sure if it would be btter in performance. Also I know you have to bring it in the country and have to deal with warranty. The 7 speed might be too new and have to take it in for service more offten than the 5 speed. Other than that you should be fine with either one of them. Both great machines with lots of potential.

Games are good, just finished work on Transformers, onto an exciting new project now.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I'll either need to import one myself or buy one that has already been imported. You can get a practically brand new 08 SP 370GT with about 3-10K kms for around $AU 50k (already imported) or do it yourself for about 5-10k cheaper.

Much, much cheaper than buying a new or used 370z (retail for $AU 70k here)... Damn you luxary car tax.
