5 speed conversion question

alright, i have a 89 240sx auto, what if i swapped out the wiring harness from it and put in a wiring harness from a 5spd and ecu from a 5spd ... would that mean i wouldn't have to modify the wiring? or would i still have to??

because i know if i kept the current wiring harness i would have to cut some wires and connect some..

Yeah you could do that. I'm not sure, however, how much of the harness you would need. Not really intimately familiar with the harness on the trans but my guess would be you would need an entire harness. Replacing the whole harness would be as much, if not more, labor than just splicing it together I bet.
