I am a little confused as to what boots I need besides the shift boot you see around the shifter. There is a boot that is on the transmission right where the stick comes out, but it is ripped and should be replaced, and if I am not mistaken, I think there is a boot that bolts to the floor under the console??? Can anybody show me pics of these boots and tell me what they are actually called so I can buy them?

I looked at Courtesy sitehttp://www.courtesyparts.com/k...cat=1and I think the boot that attaches to the transmission itself is called "Boot-Control Lever"? What are the "retainer boot", upper and lower?

I would appreciate any insight you guys can give me!

Yes you will need the Boot-Control Lever, that is the boot that covers where your shifter goes into your transmission, attaches to the shifter control housing cover. The upper and lower retainers are just tie straps...just get some good ones...no need to order tie straps from Nissan.

As for the other boots, you will need to get the boot that attaches to the floor board to keep rain and exhaust gases out of the cabin...looks like this:

Then you will just need a shifter boot, you can get them brand new off eBay:

Hope this helps. When I have more time I'll send you links to all the parts off CourtesyParts.com.

Here is the other boot that attaches to the floor:

It's call "Boot-Rubber, Control Lever", the metal ring that holds the rubber boot down is called "Cover-Transmission Hole" and you will need the 4 bolts as well. You can get the boot brand new off eBay everyday for about half the price Nissan sells it for but the metal hold down ring or "cover-Transmission Hole" is harder to find by itself and it costs $50+ from Nissan, oh and the screws are only $1 each so I would get new ones. Hope this helps out!

As for the 75960 in the picture, "Insulator-Transmission Hole", mine doesn't have one. It's $33 so I don't think I'll get one either...mine never had it...and never will...hehe.

Thanks guys, you have come through for me again! How do you find those diagrams when you don't know the proper names of things? Did those diagrams come from the FSM in the sticky area?

No...I got them from http://www.courtesyparts.com/b....htmlI buy a lot of parts from them, if you can't find the part online you can call them and they WILL find it. There customer service is second to none. They have tracked down parts for me several times. Call them if you have a question...I used to try my local Nissan dealer and they just act like they don't want to help or they just don't care...these guys do care. Last time I was looking for a part these guys called me 3 times to make sure they got what I needed.
