5 spd manual transmission

bad transmission.

Try pumping the clutch pedal to see if it engages.

Does 5th gear work? Because 5th and reverse share the same shift fork.

synchros in transmission could have gone, if anything also could be slave not pushing fork all the way out. but if you said all the other gears work including 5th then should be internal. try going from 2nd then down into reverse.
